Your First Lesson
Please make sure to arrive 5 minutes before the start of your lesson, already changed into your sportswear. Check in at the front desk next to the bar, where the head instructor will be waiting for you. The head instructor from Team TopRow will introduce you to your rowing coach and the other participants in your course group.
Location
TopRow Amsterdam offers excellent facilities. The changing rooms and showers are designed to accommodate both groups and individuals. Lockers are available for all your valuables. After your rowing lesson, Team TopRow will be ready behind the bar to serve drinks and snacks on our uniquely located, often sun-drenched waterfront terrace. With the heart of Amsterdam just a stone’s throw away, it’s the perfect place to step away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a relaxing rowing experience.
Clothing
The best clothing for rowing is stretchy, soft, and breathable, paired with a simple pair of athletic shoes. Loose pants or T-shirts can get caught in the wheels under the sliding seats, and loose tops may snag on the oar handles. So it’s best to avoid bulky jackets or sweatshirts. In general, the advice is to dress as if you’re going for a run: wear fitted pants and a shirt or jacket. Extra tips:
• Water bottle
• Cap or hat (for sun or rain protection)
